Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 and professionally referred to by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to be signed for J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her first EP, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released through Dreamville Records. She began to gain fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It was released in May 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 as she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. The year 2014 saw her release more music via the Internet including Bound. In the year 2015, she performed in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album on Sweat released on the 21st of July. J. Cole had her submit her tracks in the direction of his Dreamville Team in the following year because he was hoping for Rihanna to be able work with her on some references. She was officially signed with Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, her EP Pho was released. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018 she went on to appear on two songs with her labelmates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video was also released on September 5th. In November, she dropped the singles forty Shades of Choke & Grampa. The 13th of November, she released two more singles called No One and Pedigree. The singer appeared alongside Cole in the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of November 16and later she released the song in a solo version on the album she released her debut. The song, made available with a video posted on YouTube February 20, 2019 has been viewed over 3 million times in the first seven days. In December of 2018 the singer was a part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour, which featured 6LACK.
