Anushka is an actress as well as a producer in Bollywood. She is the highest paid actress in Bollywood and she has been awarded for her efforts. She also serves as the brand ambassador of several brands and has a clothing line that is marketed to women, called Nush. Forbes Magazine has featured her in their magazine as well. Anushka Sharma, born May 1, 1988, in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, is the child of Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is a colonel (retd.) Her mother is a homemaker. Karnesh Sharma, Anushka's elder brother, has served as a Merchant Navy officer and is an upcoming film director. Anushka has completed her studies at the Army School Bangalore. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Carmel College located in Bangalore. Anushka is a graduate with a Master of Arts degree in Economics. Anushka wanted to become a journalist or model, not an actor. Anushka moved to Mumbai after she completed her degree and was enrolled at Elite Model Management, and was groomed by style consultant Prasad Bidapa. In the year 2017 Anushka had her first modeling experience at the designer Wendell Roricks' Les Vamps Show at Lakme Fashion Week and was selected by him to be the finale model at The Spring-Summer 2007 collection. Anushka, since making her Lakme Fashion Week modelling debut has appeared in commercials for brands such as Fiat Palio Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka began auditioning for films and joined an acting academy alongside her career as models. Anushka Sharma was the first actress to film in 2008, playing Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She took one day to practice for her test on screen and didn't want to make an unplanned version. Then she was cast in three films for Yash Raj Films. She was a young bride to the middle-aged actor (Shah Rukh Khan) in the film. The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared in the 2010 film "Badmash Company" together with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The film received mixed praises. The same year Anushka Sharma appeared in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' with Ranveer Singh, in which she played the role of a middle-class Punjabi girl who starts her own wedding planning business. The movie received a great reception and was later a sleeper. Anushka's three-film deal with Yash Raj Films ended with Band Baaja Baraat.
